What happens when two over-sharing depth psychologists get together and talk about sex, love, and soul-making? A safe space opens up for cultivating a sense of curiosity, depth, appreciation for the tension between the literal and symbolic, and lots of giggles.
In this episode, I have a conversation with Dr. Joli Hamilton, best-selling author, TEDx speaker, and certified sexuality educator. Joli holds a doctorate in depth psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute (we were cohort buddies), where she studied the impact of jealousy on relationships.
I love how Joli describes her relationship coaching services as being for couples who color outside the lines, helping her clients experience the freedom, deep security, and sexual fulfillment that comes when they shift from plain-old monogamy to more. Whether it’s polyamory, ethical nonmonogamy, or creative monogamy, Joli guides people out of the standard script and into the life individuals were meant to have. The impact of Joli’s approach is about more than relationships, it’s about an individuation journey for all involved, the journey to becoming exactly who you were born to be, including as a lover.
I hope you enjoy and will share with others. Whether you're in a committed relationship or ready to explore something more expansive, you'll think about it all differently. There's something in this conversation for everyone, I promise.
