Dose of Depth
Welcome to Dose of Depth. I’m your host, Deborah Lukovich, PhD, and I invite you into conversations that explore the field between us.
Together we’ll examine dreams, relationships, creativity, leadership, organizations, and the ordinary moments that quietly reshape our lives. Through stories, conversations, and depth psychology, we’ll ask not only why something happened, but why now and what is trying to emerge through our experience.
This podcast is for people who sense that life is always speaking through relationships, conflict, attraction, loss, joy, and the unexpected synchronicities that seem to appear at just the right time. We’re less interested in having the right answers than in cultivating the conditions where new understanding can emerge.
Some episodes may offer a profound insight. Others may make you laugh at the strange symbolism of your own life.
I hope that each conversation helps you become more psychologically sovereign, more available to your own unfolding, and more aware of what is ripening in the field between you, others, and the world.
So pull up a chair. Let’s explore what is trying to emerge.

What is Generation Z Mirroring Back to Us? Me reading my blog post of June 26, 2022
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
In this episode, I read a recent blog post titled: What is Generation Z Mirroring Back to Us? I wrote it after a couple conversations with Mom’s about their young adult Gen Z sons. I have two Generation Z young adults myself, a son, and a daughter.
The phrase tone-deaf comes to mind if you’re surprised about why the young folks coming of age right now struggle with anxiety, lack of motivation, and focus. This blog post explores what you may be projecting onto the generation that seems to be the place where the ultimate buck stops – dismantling patriarchal systems that benefit the few over the many, and the survival or death of the planet.
Sure, tell me I’m being dramatic, but decades of hiding in comfort and convenience have gotten us to this point, the point where my own children have gone from feeling optimistic to carrying the burden left by blindness or arrogance many of the so-called elders and leaders are showing in the face of the climax of the clinging onto old systems. The clinging is a reflection that these systems indeed are going down, although how fast is unknown, as is what will replace them. Hence, the anxiety.
Are you open to looking at things through a different lens? This capacity seems to be rarer and rarer these days. Listen on if you dare.
Let’s get started.
