In this episode, I continue reading from my book, Your Soul is Talking. Are You Listening? 5 Steps to Uncovering Your Hidden Purpose.
In Chapter 16, I give you a whole other way to think about the purpose behind your mind wandering, or why certain memories come up, and the sneaky way our unconscious uses fantasies, especially those of a sexual nature.
I used to think we created fantasies, sort of like people wrote a script for something they wanted to experience, but maybe that’s because I’m a recovering control freak. We don’t create fantasies, rather they are spontaneous images that sneak out of our unconscious to get our attention. For example, sexual fantasies often have nothing to do with literal sex, and the people in the fantasy most often represent a part of us that is seeking to become intimate with our conscious self and integrated into our waking life.
So, let’s get started.
